Now that the retail concept had been proven scalable, SMG continued brand development by opening multiple stores in key locations at a faster pace.
The overwhelming demand for merchandise at the company's competitive price point led to a second SM Trading store launched in 2003 in Frisco, TX. This was an immediate success, drawing the same volume of customers and demand as the flagship store. The following year the company launched their e-commerce site sammoon.com. The continual success allowed SMG to expand the number of stores.
In 2006, SMG saw a growth opportunity and decided it was time to move outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex by opening their third SM Trading in The Woodlands, TX. SM Trading's unique and immense assortment of women's accessories and handbags proved to be just as desirable to shoppers of North Houston. The Woodlands store immediately shared the same success story as Dallas and Frisco.
