David Moon
Chairman
As the Chairman and Founder of Sam Moon Group, David Moon created the Sam Moon Trading Co. retail store in 1984. As the success of the retail store grew, he began using the retail stores as the anchor tenant as he began developing commercial shopping centers.
David Moon earned his degree from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and received his Doctorate in Humanities from Dallas Baptist University in 2007. He currently resides in Las Colinas, TX with his wife In Sun Moon.
Samuel Moon
President
President of Sam Moon Group, Sam began his career with SMG in 1984 and has since led the group under his creative direction and is involved in all areas of the company. As President, he oversees every aspect of the real estate development and runs the retail division, from purchasing to the operations of the Sam Moon Trading Co. retail stores.
Sam has pioneered the company’s reach into new projects and developments, supervising the design and developments of SMG’s hotels and shopping centers and managing their portfolio of real estate assets and other properties.
Sam graduated from the University of North Texas in 1989 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife Sandra.
Daniel Moon
VP | General Counsel
Daniel Moon is the Vice President/General Counsel of Sam Moon Group. He has been with Sam Moon Group since 1994 and is involved in all areas of the company. He spearheaded Sam Moon Group’s recent expansion into real estate development and his primary responsibility is to manage its day-to-day operations. The real estate division develops hotels, shopping centers, multi-family and other commercial real estate. The division also actively manages all of the company-owned retail properties.
Daniel attended the University of Texas at Austin before transferring to Southern Methodist University where he received his B.B.A. in Accounting with Honors. While at SMU he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honors Society), Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting Honors Society) and the Golden Key National Honors Society.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University, where he was a recipient of the Diversity Scholarship. He is a licensed attorney and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
James Drysdale
VP of Finance
James graduated from Brigham Young University with his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and became a Texas CPA shortly thereafter. With five years of public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and five years of industry experience in both hospitality and energy, James now serves as Vice President of Finance for Sam Moon Group where he directly manages the company’s accounting and finance functions. When outside of the office, James enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters. James and his family can often be found hiking in the mountains of Utah or Colorado.
Anna Seo
Senior Property Manager
Anna Seo joined Sam Moon Group in 2012. Anna currently serves as a Property Manager for all shopping centers owned by Sam Moon Group, where she negotiates new tenant leases and is involved in project developments.
Anna graduated from Korea University with a M.A. degree in International Studies-Commerce and earned a B.A. degree in International Studies and Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Dallas with her husband and two daughters.
Ian Glasgow
Senior Real Estate Accountant
Ian graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Ian has four years of experience in public accounting where he specialized in Tax and Financials. Ian now serves as Senior real estate accountant with Sam Moon Group to carry out the company’s internal accounting functions.
Karina Alfaro
Social Media Marketing Manager
Karina graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Management. Karina has both digital marketing and ad tech agency experience. She is passionate about content creation, event planning and is now responsible for the planning and execution of the company’s social media strategy.
