David Moon
Chairman
David Moon is the Chairman and Founder of Sam Moon Group. David created the Sam Moon Trading Co. retail store in 1984 with his wife, In Sun Moon. With the success of the retail stores, he expanded the company into Commercial Real Estate. David continues to oversee the direction and growth of the company. David Moon earned his degree from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and received his Doctorate in Humanities from Dallas Baptist University in 2007. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife, In Sun Moon.
Samuel Moon
President
Sam Moon is the President of Sam Moon Group, where he began his career with SMG in 1989. Since then he has led the group under his creative direction and involvement in all areas of the company. As President, he oversees every aspect of the real estate development and runs the retail division, from purchasing to the operations of the Sam Moon Trading Co. retail stores. Sam graduated from the University of North Texas in 1989 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife, Sandra Moon.
Daniel Moon
VP | General Counsel
Daniel Moon is the Vice President and General Counsel of Sam Moon Group, where he has played a central role since 1994. He led the company’s strategic expansion into real estate development and now oversees its day-to-day operations. Under his leadership, the real estate division has grown to include hotels, shopping centers, multifamily projects, and commercial assets, while also managing company-owned retail properties. Daniel holds a B.B.A. in Accounting with Honors and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University. He is a licensed attorney and active member of the State Bar of Texas. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife, Tiffany Moon.
James Drysdale
VP of Finance
James Drysdale is the Vice President of Finance at Sam Moon Group, overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the company’s commercial real estate platform. A graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, James became a Texas CPA and began his career with five years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also brings industry expertise from previous roles in the hospitality and energy sectors. James combines a deep understanding of financial systems with real-world industry experience to ensure the strength, compliance, and growth of Sam Moon Group’s expanding real estate portfolio. He currently resides in Dallas, TX with his wife, Amy Drysdale and 3 daughters.
Anna Seo
Accountant/Investor Relations
Anna Seo, joined Sam Moon Group in 2012. Anna currently serves as the Accountant for all Sam Moon Group real estate assets. She is also the main point of contact for Investor Relations. Anna graduated from Korea University with a M.A. degree in International Studies-Commerce and earned a B.A. degree in International Studies and Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill. She currently resides in Dallas, TX with her husband and two daughters.
Karina Alfaro
Marketing Manager/Investor Relations
Karina Alfaro, joined Sam Moon Group in 2022. Karina currently serves as the Marketing Manager for all of Sam Moon Group projects. She is also provides support in managing investor relations. Karina graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Management. Karina has both digital marketing and ad tech agency experience. She is passionate about content creation, event planning and is now responsible for the planning and execution of the company’s social media strategy.
