In 1984, David and In Sun Moon founded Sam Moon Trading Co. as a wholesaler and retailer of Women’s accessories and handbags in Dallas, TX. After their success in retail, Sam Moon Group started developing its own Class A shopping centers in cities where they wanted to expand.

In 2017, Sam Moon Group developed and opened their first Full Service Hotel called the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West. Their transition into hospitality was a huge success. With the knowledge and experience from the Renaissance, they developed the Hyatt Regency Frisco at Stonebriar Centre and the first JW Marriott in Dallas.

In addition to retail stores, shopping centers, and hotels, Sam Moon Group is currently developing a 70 acre mixed-use development in North Houston called Metropark. The first phase includes 325,000 sqft of restaurant, retail, & entertainment, a 148 key Hyatt House Hotel, and 307 units of luxury apartments.
